2019 Project Presentation Guidelines and Schedule
Thank you again for submitting a project or plan request to the Lehigh Valley Transportation Study (LVTS) earlier this year. By direction of LVTS, project sponsors are invited to present their projects or plans, in accordance with the schedule listed below, on August 26, August 28 and September 3, from 9 am to 3:30 pm each day, at the 1002 Hamilton Street, Allentown office of PennDOT District 5. The format for the presentations will be 5 minutes per applicant, including for those applicants that have submitted multiple projects. You may use a PowerPoint and/or handouts, however the PowerPoint materials MUST be delivered to Bethany Vazquez at bvazquez@lvpc.org, or to the offices at LVPC, prior to Thursday August 22, so we can have them ready for your
- presentation. We cannot guarantee that we can accommodate presentation
materials that are provided later than August 22. Each presentation should include:
- Project Scope
- Limits
- Improvements – resurfacing, reconstruction, widening, mill &
- verlay, bridge replacement, sidewalk repairs, trail construction,
etc.
- Justification – Why is it needed?
- Cost estimated by phase of work
- Match
- Prioritized list, for those who have multiple projects
- If handouts, 20 copies for committee members
Proposed projects will be evaluated by LVTS for inclusion into the Long- Range Transportation Plan elements of the draft FutureLV: The Regional Plan based on compliance with:
- FutureLV Goals and Policies
- Project need
- Project selection process
- Cost feasibility
- Readiness for implementation
- Funding availability
