Fence Vibration Sensors are mounted directly on the fence fabric and detect vibrations on the fence, including those associated with cutting, climbing or lifting of the fence. There are two basic types of fence vibration sensors; electromechanical or inertial sensors, whose signal processor has pulse accumulation circuit that recognises momentary contact openings of electromechanical switches; and piezoelectric, whose signal processor responds to the amplitude, duration and frequency of the transmitted signal. The state of art new technology in vibration sensor is based on MEMS. The vibration sensors based on MEMS technology does not have any moving parts, resulting in very low FAR. Microwave sensors are volumetric motion detection devices that flood an area with a high frequency field. Any movement within this area disturbs the field and trigger an alarm. There are two basic types of MW Sensors: Mono-statics sensor, which have the transmitter and receiver units encased with in a single housing to protect well defined zone, and Bi-static sensor where the transmitter and receiver are housed in separate housing. Microwave sensors can be used to monitor an open area or along the inside of fence line. As a leading engineer, he has been focusing on structural and perimeter security design and installation for over three decades. Haim has personally developed security solutions for dozens of projects for government facilities and private organizations around the world. His expertise has helped protect United States DOD and DOE facilities, correctional institutions, nuclear sites, energy facilities, airports, and other industrial as well as private facilities. As a lieutenant colonel in the IDF, Haim was head of the Missile and Electronic Weapon Systems Branch for the Technology and Logistic command before he retired from the military. With an electrical engineering degree from Israel’s Technion University, Haim is also the inventor of a number of technologies that are now registered US patents in the perimeter and security fields.
