Status of Scheme and Remit from Government • A120 is presently not in any forward programme to be built • ECC, Highways England & DfT have agreed to – funding a feasibility study • £9M pledged to – Undertake the study – Determine a preferred route option – Make the case for investment in RIS2 • Three Government challenges: – Achieve a consensus locally – Adhere to Highways England procedures – Arrive at an affordable scheme • Aim is to prepare the scheme for entry into RIS2 4
