  • Nil environmental “non compliances” recorded
  • Production and productivity levels exceeded both budget and

forecast

  • Successful trial of gate road ‘single unit’ development completed at

increased depth under Airly Mesa

  • ‘Super unit’ development extended into shallow workings on

western fringe of Genowlan Mesa

  • Permanent employment numbers increased from 78 to 82 persons
  • Continued to supply domestic customers (Eraring and Delta) and

export customers through Port Waratah Coal Services.

  • Undertook major upgrade of underground ventilation infrastructure
  • Commitment resources to continuous miner rebuild program,

underground ventilation and conveyor upgrade

the Project Approval (DA 162/91) or EPL12374.

  • Airly Mine is currently preparing a Noise Management Plan (NMP) in accordance

with SSD_5581.

  • 2017 noise monitoring is scheduled for October.

  • No mining induced impacts to

the site were evident during the pre-mining inspection

  • A post-mining inspection of site 45-

were evident during the

  • inspection. All RAPs were

satisfied with the condition of the site.

Airly Mine – Rehabilitation & Land Management

  • Airly Mine does not currently have any land available or subject to rehabilitation
  • works. This is not likely to change until mine closure.
  • Updated rehabilitation cost estimate was sent to DRE on 31 March 2017.
  • A revised MOP/RMP has been developed and has been submitted for consultation

and approval.

  • Spring/Summer 2017-18 weed spraying program will recommence in October.
  • Surrounding Mine owned land continues to be leased out for agricultural purposes.
  • Riparian restoration of Airly Creek on-going. Tube stock scheduled for Spring.
  • Tree screen maintenance conducted as required.
