applicants for OneCPD and Core Curricula.

  • OneCPD and Core Curricula funds are available for

technical assistance and not for program activities.

SLIDE 7

Overview

  • The new ‘Transformation Initiative’ at HUD emphasizes a

‘place-based’ approach to the delivery of technical and capacity building assistance to entities that receive or use CDBG, HOME (including CHDO), homeless assistance or HOPWA funding.

  • OneCPD will be operated as a single cross-program,

assessment-based, and outcome focused TA delivery system, similar to NSP.

  • All work must be carried out under ‘model’ Memoranda of

Agreement assigning responsibilities for the overall engagement to the parties (HUD, the TA provider(s) and the grantee) and specifying the expected outcomes.

7

slide-8
SLIDE 8

Objectives

  • Improve grantees’ ability to assess their local market

conditions;

  • Improve grantees’ ability to design and implement

housing and community development programs appropriate to the local market;

  • Increase organizational capacity to leverage scarce

public dollars; and

  • Improve grantees’ understanding of and compliance

with statutory and regulatory requirements.
