Grade point average is calculated at the end of every semester: = ∑(grade point x credit hours) per semester ∑ credit hours Cumulative Grade point average is calculated at the end of a level: = ∑(grade point x credit hours) of all subjects in a level ∑ credit hours

When the GPA achieved is less than 2 at the end of any semester.

First Probation

What will happen to me?

• If you study hard and achieve a CGPA ≥

2 at the end of the next semester after being placed on probation, you will come out

• f probation.

If you fail to achieve a CGPA ≥ 2, you will be placed on Second Probation and similarly on Third Probation.

A student can proceed from Diploma level one to Diploma level two, provided he/she passes all courses of the Diploma level one and is out of probation 3. Important to know A student is dismissed from the college if he/she fails to come out of Third Probation. A student must have a CGPA ≥ 2.5 to proceed from Diploma to Higher Diploma and an in- house TOEFL score of at least 390. is out of probation 3.

• A student must have a CGPA ≥ 2.75 to proceed

from Higher Diploma to B.Tech level. External TOEFL score requirements are 450 in

Diploma to HD and 500 for progression from HD to B.Tech respectively. Consult your Academic Advisor for any clarifications.
