  • To regulate systematic traffic

management and address the growing traffic problems in the city

Challenges and Issues

  • Pilot smart card: Piloting on only one and difficult to implement full-

fledged cashless system. Nu. 7.5 m secured from RGoB for upscaling the initiatives can only cover 50% the cost for implementing in the existing fleets.

  • Installed CCTV inside Buses: High data consumption as it uses 4G

(SIM Card data based transmission) and live control is very expensive. Not very effective as there is no central control unit set up.

  • Bus Information System (BIS)- The problem faced by operations

while allocating the bus on route due to the limited number buses with OBE.

  • Lack of funding to upscale the pilot ITS initiatives
