Honors Courses
What to expect with an honors level course
S Higher-order thinking skills S Accelerated pace. S Demanding workload that involves extensive reading,

S Honor level courses receive weighted credit.
Advanced Placement Courses
What is an Advanced Placement level course?
S College level program designed to prepare students to
take AP exams at the conclusion of the course.
S College course requirements may be adjusted based

S Advanced Placement courses receive weighted credit. S Expect to do 45-60 minutes of work each night for an
AP course.
Open Enrollment
S We encourage all students to challenge themselves in
their coursework. If a student does not meet the course prerequisite and would like to take a Honors/AP course, please use the Against Educational Advice
- form. The form can be downloaded from the online
CHS Curriculum Guide and is also in the Guidance Office.

Fred is a Schoolwide Officer for SkillsUSA, EASTERN’s student leadership organization. At Cheltenham High School, he was chosen as a Student of the Month in 2014. plans to join the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 98 Union after taking his entrance exam in April 2017. He is also going to enlist in the Army Reserves, and eventually
