ENROLLMENT
Tie minimum enrollment for each workshop is 23 students; maximum is 25. Workshops below minimum enrollment may be canceled. If this occurs, students will be ofgered one
FEES
Tie cost for each session is $150. If more than one child in the immediate family enrolls, a discount of $10 per child will be given. $10 discount will also apply for students enrolling in both sessions.
REFUNDS
Note: A full refund will be issued if we are unable to give the student two of their four choices. Refunds take 4–6 weeks to be processed and will be mailed in the form of a check. Session I: Refunds will be issued as follows: 1) Full refund minus $25 processing fee if cancellation
- ccurs before May 31, 2016;

Access to the internet is intended for educational purposes. Southwestern College has taken precautions in an attempt to eliminate controversial materials. Tierefore, student use will be monitored. However, please recognize that it is impossible for Southwestern College to restrict access to all controversial

SAFETY
CFK is a college experience; parents are encouraged to familiarize their child with the location of their classes and the best route to walk between classes, prior to the start of
- class. During the sessions, stafg wearing CFK-VESTS will
be centrally located to help direct students at the start of and between classes. With over 200 students per session, it is not possible for the stafg to individually walk each student to their second class. Tie “buddy system” is used for all bathroom breaks during class. If they must, encourage your student to use the bathroom during class time and not between classes. Please call the CFK offjce if your student will be absent or picked up early. STUDENT BEHAVIOR
It is expected that the students enrolled in the CFK program are respectful of other students, the instructors, stafg and the campus facilities. Student behavior that is disruptive to the learning environment will result in one warning and parent
- notifjcation. Further disruption will result in dismissal.
Refunds will not be given. CFK reserves the right to not invite a student to return to the program.
CAMPUS PARKING/STUDENT PICK-UP
Parking permits will not be required in STUDENT DESIGNATED PARKING AREAS in lots “J & L” ONLY the fjrst and last day of the sessions only from Noon–5 p.m. Session I: Monday, June 13 & Tiursday, June 23. Session II: Tuesday, July 5 & Tiursday, July 14. You may park without permits or penalties on the above days only in the lots specifjed. All other days parking permits are required to park on campus. Do not park in Faculty, Stafg, or Disabled parking areas since they require special permits. One-day parking permits may be purchased at the parking dispensers located throughout the campus (see campus map). For parking permits for the summer session, please contact the College for Kids Offjce for more information at (619) 421-6700 ext. 5953. Calling all actors, dancers and singers! Students will master their performing arts skills in daily acting, dance, vocal technique classes and performance
- workshops. Tiis program is specifjcally created to
challenge and promote each student’s unique growth in creativity and expression. Tiey will learn to create the script for the play in their own words, and help to create the scenes, actions and props. An “Open Sharing” performance for family and friends will take place on the last day of class.

Do you love telling stories and let your imagination run wild? Tien this class is for you! Unleash your inner author to create your own original work in varying genres from short stories to poetry, to comics, and more. You’ll leave the program with your own hardbound masterpiece! Prospective students should be self-directed and able to write and type for sustained periods of time on a standard computer keyboard.

Homes for the Homeless
San Diego is credited with the fourth largest homeless population in the United States. 14% of that population, approximately 1,215 individuals are under the age of 18. Interested in helping those in need? Tirough the study of pavilion architecture, students will design and build temporary, lightweight, weather-resistant, transportable shelter for the homeless in our community.

What does it mean to be a human being in biological terms? What is our evolutionary history? What makes us similar and difgerent to other organisms? How can we explain obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes in evolutionary terms? How does our brain chemistry change when we acquire a new skill? Tiis workshop will cover these and many other interesting questions regarding human beings and their history in this

San Diego is lucky to be a city of many cultures. If you have an interest in the many cultures of San Diego, the Philippines is a good place to start. Tiis class will look at the Filipino culture and we will also learn beginning Tagalog. We will do some writing, learn through games the Tagalog language, and try difgerent foods from a local Filipino restaurant.
