Every coffee bean we roast is verified sustainable.

We roast 370 billion sustainable coffee beans every year. If you put them in line, they would go 6 8 tim es around the world. As one of the first large roasteries in the world, we only use coffe that has been verified sustainable. Although we reached this big goal, our work with sustainability continues.

The focus in these joint programs is increasing the profitability of the coffe farming and minimizing the climate impact. CO2ZERO PROGRAMME

CO2ZERO programme enables all our passengers to compensate for their share of the CO2 emitted during their flight. More than 260,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions have been compensated via KLM’s CO2ZERO The compensation has mainly been invested in cooking stoves in Ghana. As a result, around 50,000 African families were given better stoves

  • ver the past ten years.

Since October 2017, KLM invests the compensation funding in a reforestation project in Panama, called the ‘CO2OL Tropical Mix’.
