Guaranteed £1200 annual payment 3 instalments : One of £600 at the start of the autumn term and two of £300 at the start of the spring and summer term. Are currently in care (as defined by social services) Are leaving or have recently left care Are in receipt of Income Support (Universal Credit) in their own name. Are disabled and in receipt of both Employment Support Allowance and Disability Living Allowance (Personal Independence Payments) No change in household financial circumstances. Continued attendance at Whitburn CofE Academy. Adhere to the Sixth Form Learner Agreement (‘contract’), see planner.
Level 2 Bursary for students from low-income families
£20 per week Monthly BACS payment into students’ bank account Student received free school meals throughout Year 11 or is eligible for FSM upon starting Sixth Form. No change in household financial circumstances. Continued attendance at Whitburn CofE Academy. Adhere to the Sixth Form Learner Agreement (‘contract’), see planner.
Level 3 Discretionary Support Fund
Variable amount up to £125 One-off payment. Have a gross annual household income of below £25,000 (priority given to students who claim free school meals) Have an attendance rate of a minimum of 95% Be punctual to all lessons and registration Attend all assemblies and enrichment sessions Follow absence procedures as laid out in the planner Meet expectations of all sixth form students as outlined in the Learner Agreement (see planner) Make satisfactory progress against your targets and attend all examinations.
