Suspended visitation and mandated staff screening at long-term care facilities. Developed 120 ambulance assessment teams to deploy preemptive measures to prevent the introduction of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities. Deployed Rapid Emergency Support Teams (REST) to immediately respond to COVID-19 positive long-term care facilities to augment clinical patient care and train staff on infection control best practices.

These teams completed assessments at 3,874 long term-care facilities to determine immediate unmet needs and to promote appropriate infection control practices. Developed 25 dedicated ambulance assessment teams to provide continued support and testing to highly impacted counties. REST teams have completed more than 189 missions. Deployed 13 Veterans Affairs clinical support teams.

Mobile testing teams have visited more than 20 locations and tested more than 3,400 residents and staff.

Issued a directive requiring all staff that work with residents in long term care facilities to wear a mask. The Division of Emergency Management has sent the following personal protective equipment (PPE) to long-term care facilities: The Agency for Health Care Administration has made onsite visits to over 1,300 facilities since this emergency began.
