  • Foundation assessment of difference it can make

Secondary:

  • Special talents in student
  • Any family member’s handicapped?
  • Foundation’s knowledge about student character
  • Possible support from relatives

**Monthly form fields

  • Academic and English language progress self-assessment

with rationale.

  • Co – and extra curricular activities’ plan
  • Financial forecast for the next three months
  • Any other social – family difficulties
  • Reading ladder status (We have a ladder of the books

that students need to read at different stages)

  • Eating, sleeping, exercise habits
  • New friends acquired and what they learnt from them
  • An essay of 8-10 lines on a topic of their interest
  • An action plan based on all above

GEF Project – Distressed Families

  • Supporting children from distressed families

such as cancer afflicted, acid victims’, suicide-prone farmers’, and prostitutes’

  • families. The families go through

psychological trauma and has limited financial resources distressing the family

  • The educatable members of the family need

holistic support in their development and education

principles, except ignore the academic performance and IQ, and emphasis on providing appropriate educational

  • pportunities to rehabilitate the families
  • Collaborate with Tata Memorial for cancer

afflicted, Sahas foundation for acid victims’, Adhar (Akola) for suicide-prone farmers’, and Vijay Krida Mandal for prostitutes’ families

  • Identifying families and right educatable

  • The devastation makes the family very sensitive

and counseling them on the right path becomes a challenge

  • Goal for AY 2019-20 is to support 25 students

from the distressed families

GEF Project – Adolescent Development Program (Super-30)

  • There are many school students who are

high on potential and low on resources.

  • They do not receive all-round education in

schools and do not build the required foundation for higher studies and fail short

  • f developing their full potentials
  • They perform well in 10th standard but face

significant performance drop thereafter

  • Follow the same principles, except focus on

students’ 5th standard scholarship examination performance

  • Use the framework that will work on physical

literacy, psychological strength, intellectual prowess, and entrepreneurial zeal.

  • The framework provides a four year plan along

with regular measurements to track the project success

  • The program requires committed school

authorities and teachers

  • In rural areas, the trainers may not be easily

available and the technology support may not be adequate for remote sessions

  • Goal for AY 2019-20 is to extend the project

at the current two schools (Thane and Osmandabad) to 7th standard and initiate at 3 more schools from 6th standard.

  • Agreement is in place with Pune Vidyarthi

Gruha school, Nerul and discussions on with a school from tribal area of Khandesh.
