  • Be clear with what the role of the Executive Sponsor is
  • Be careful to not confuse communication with education
  • Make attendance expectations very clear
  • Allow UPC Chairs and/or Subcommittee Chairs to rotate from

leadership role

  • Focus on outcomes…stay consistent with measuring whether

a patient was assigned a primary nurse and did they know it
