Key areas for improvements
- 1. Awareness
Revitalize “Safety culture / ethics” and “Quality First” awareness
- 2. Communication and Problem Solving
Listen to the voices of “Gemba” (shop floor) and lead to problem solving
- 3. AQMS Processes
Proceed activities to reduce human factors, and Improve AQMS processes
AQMS : Aerospace QMS
8
◆ Outputs will be proposed for
incorporation into the following three categories: (1) 9100 Standard (2) Guidance Material (3) ICOP Scheme (CB Audit)
Output from the Activity 1/7
ICOP : Industry Controlled Other Party
9
◆ Example: (1) 9100 Standard 1/4
Potential Risk Proposed Solution (Draft) Lack of Safety culture/ Ethics awareness ・Add that intentional misconduct, such as falsification of data, causes punishments (e.g., clause 4.2.4 “Control of Quality Records”) ・Add the keyword Flight Safety and Quality First in 9100 (e.g., clause 5.3“Quality Policy”) ・Add the training for Safety culture /Ethics in 9100 (e.g., clause 6.2 “Human Resources”)
Output from the Activity 2/7
10
◆ Example: (1) 9100 Standard 2/4
Potential Risk Proposed Solution (Draft) Violate procedure/ Falsification
- f data
・Add the keyword of developing the structure which receive voices of Gemba in 9100 (e.g., clause 5.5.3“Internal Communication” )
Output from the Activity 3/7
11
◆ Example: (1) 9100 Standard 3/4
Potential Risk Proposed Solution (Draft) The error resulted from H/F ・Propose to specify that human factors should be eliminated in 9100 (e.g., clause 7.5.1 “Control of Production and Service Provision”) The actual condition may not be audited ・Add to perform special audit to check the actual on-site condition (e.g., clause 8.2.2 “Internal Audit”)
Output from the Activity 4/7
12
◆ Example: (1) 9100 Standard 4/4
Potential Risk Proposed Solution (Draft) Awareness
- f self-
verification may become insufficient ・Add the keyword self-verification in 9100 (e.g., clause 8.2.4 “Monitoring and Measurement of Product”) ・Review and update ARP/EN/SJAC 9162 “Aerospace Operator Self-Verification Programs”
Output from the Activity 5/7
13
◆ Example: (2) Guidance Material
Potential Risk Proposed Solution (Draft) Violate procedure/ Falsification
- f data
・Develop guidance material regarding Safety culture/Ethics in AS&D industry ・Develop guidance material describing the importance for receiving voice of Gemba
Output from the Activity 6/7
14
◆ Example: (3) ICOP Scheme
Potential Risk Proposed Solution (Draft) Decreased reliability of 9100 certification ・Enhance industry oversight activities to increase ICOP scheme confidence. ・Clarify that the falsification of data and/or false explanation may cause a suspension and/or withdrawal of AQMS certification
Output from the Activity 7/7
