How We Got Here • Rectory Committee formed May 2016 • Goal: Study the physical structure of the rectory to determine needs • Going into this project, the committee had the plan to renovate because we felt we were starting with a good, solid structure
History of the Rectory • Built in 1951 • 3 rd rectory built for our parish • Previous rectory (2 nd rectory) was 66 years old when the current rectory was built • Modest repairs and renovations done over the years
Condition of the Rectory After a thorough examination of the rectory, the following issues were identified: • Roof – aged, worn- • HVAC out shingles & flat • Previous flooding in roof the basement • Single-pane windows • Asbestos • Ceiling, subfloor, & • Accessibility needs dry wall rot • 30+ year old • Original wiring furniture & decor • Original plumbing • Tuck-pointing and other exterior updates Virtual Tour of Rectory
