program which gives raw Wii data for testing purposes.

 Wii connects to computers in

Lab 2018 currently, and this lab has many remotes which can be used for testing as well as charging stations.

 Our Wii remote has been

successfully disassembled this week

 Net weight without case=22g  Need to find a way to

incorporate IR pass filter into mechanical design.

 Helicopter

 Requires 7.4VDC  Motors are easily the largest

current draw out of the onboard components

 Wiimote

 Requires 3VDC max  Normally takes 2 AA batteries

 Each AA supplies 1.5V with

capacity of 2700 mAh

 2AA in series provide 3V with

capacity of 5400 mAh

 Wiimote will last around 25

hours using both the accelerometer and IR sensor

 5400 mAh/25 h = 216 mA

average current

 Voltage divider will therefore

need a power rating of (7.4V- 3V)*0.216A = 0.95 W
