Education

ACCI sees as one of its most sacred obligations the assurance that traditional knowledge is documented and passed on to future generations. A Replication Program was launched dedicated to replicating artifacts within ACCI and partners’ museums. The purpose of this program is to research and document the ways that these objects were made and used by our ancestors. The first item chosen to be replicated was a woman's hood borrowed from the McCord Museum in Montreal and displayed during our Inaugural Exhibit. In the plans: a caribou coat, rabbit fur garments, and quill work items knowledge we gain from the replication process isturned into cree culture units for our students, and workshops for community members
