OLAINE SECONDARY SCHOOL NO 1.

Olaine Secondary

School No1 was established in 1965.

We have got our

• wn badge, flag,

anthem and logo.

OLAINE SECONDARY SCHOOL NO 1.

 There are 869

students aged 5- 19 and 81 teachers at

• ur school.

 We offer a pre-school

programme for 5-6 year-old kids and a comprehensive school programme for a primary and secondary school pupils.

OLAINE SECONDARY SCHOOL NO 1.

 We are Eco school only

from Setember 2014 but we started Eco activities since February 2014.

 Our structural unit-

elementary school in Jaunolaine has already got a green flag for 6 years.

 We have got

International Green flag in autumn 2015.

OLAINE SECONDARY SCHOOL NO 1.

We do not have our garden but we have got an insect house that German partners gave us during their visit in Latvia in May 2015.

WORKSHOPS AT SCHOOL

The school offers various hobby groups for spending free time and improving skills in different fields:

 Folk dance groups  Vocal ensembles  Art workshop  Drama club  Woodworking workshop  School newspaper “Muša medū”  First aid group ABC  Climbing  Different sport workshops

TRADITIONS AT SCHOOL

Each year the school celebrates Teacher's

Day, the Teacher’s Day is organised by students of form 10.

We celebrate Latvia’s birthday in November

and organise a concert where we nominate the school and “class souls” (the most popular students and teachers).

 We also have a traditional all workshops party in

spring and a Mother's day concert in May where all our school folk groups, ensembles, singers and modern dance groups take part.

Some more traditions – a traditional sports day in May for all school, a project week in elementary and primary school, last bell and school leaving party for forms 9 and 12.

week and a concert, Christmas parties

Every year the students of form 9 organise a Button Party while the students of form 12 organise a Badge Party

THE STUDENTS’ PARLIAMENT

It consists of the most active students

from forms 5-12.

They organise various events, activities,

competitions that are very interesting for students

SCHOOL ACHIEVEMENTS

 In autumn 2015 we

have received the 1st place in small city groups for our achievements in the state exams 2015.
