History • Launched in 2005 with Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aid Foundatjon • To provide an easy-to-understand summary of the efgects of HIV infectjon on the immune system to facilitate improvement in clinical practjce. • Developed real-life clinical cases in which knowledge of Immunology play a part ‘demystjfying’ the science. • Aimed at improving engagement between core immunology and clinical practjce • Immunopaedia has progressed to include more general immunology knowledge • In 2010 awarded the Science Prize for Online Resources in Educatjon (SPORE) a fjrst for a South African initjatjve • www.immunopaedia.org is the offjcial Internatjonal Union of Immunological Societjes (IUIS) learning site
