 44 year county program.  Approved volunteers.  Trained to assist in specific programs.  County guidelines.  Dividends are required to log-in and out each and every time they are on a SCPS campus.  Dividends are required to have a nametag on at all times.

A STEM based gardening program…Learn basic gardening skills, help support your schools outdoor classrooms. Training is required. Program supported by IFAS/University of Florida.

Super Scientists Volunteers are trained to do simple science experiments in the elementary classroom. The experiments correlate with the State Standards of Excellence in Science. Training is provided for K-2nd.

Teach SCPS Elementary students the correct way to wash their hands, basic hand washing information provided for cold and flu prevention in a fun educational way. Training is required.

Connections is an SCPS award winning Mentor

  • program. The focus is building self confidence.

Students that choose to take part in Connection are matched with a mentor. Mentor and mentee meet weekly focusing on building self-esteem and providing skills for the student’s future goals. Training and Fingerprinting required.

RAP is a reading acceleration program designed to help early readers who struggle in the classroom and are working below grade level. Volunteers meet one on one with a first or second grade student for 30 minutes 1 to 2 times a week. Volunteer training is required.

Living on My Own is a hands-on, real-life simulation that gives young people the opportunity to experience their futures in a fun and exciting way. They are encouraged to make healthy and wise lifestyle choices similar to those adults face on a daily

County Extension Program, community partners, RSVP of SCPS and Seminole County Public Schools Dividends.

 A visitor may attend any academic meetings concerning their student, watch a program or awards ceremony from the audience, eat lunch with their student.  All volunteers must be a registered Dividends.  Approved vendors must be registered and fingerprinted with SCPS Purchasing Department.
