- 2019. These reports reflect the number of people using our district facilities,
participating in our recreation programs, and attending our special events. Here are some highlights reflected in the reports:
- Events: The District had 15 special events during this reporting period
highlighted by the 4th of July Fireworks Show, 10 Concerts in the Park, and Founders Day. Approximately 17,750 people attended the District’s special
- events. The Playground Opening Event was added in July which drew
approximately 100 community members who came out to celebrate and play.
- Classes: The summer specific classes had good attendance during this
reporting period. The Lego Camp had 21 participants, the Mad Science Camp had 7 participants, and the Summer Reading Program had 16 children
- participate. The Hoop Dance Happiness class was restructured and is
experiencing good attendance. The District’s tennis lessons are becoming more popular with September’s total average daily attendance at 14 compared to 4 in September 2018. The Mommy/Daddy and Me Playdate, as well as the Beginning Tap, were cancelled in August and September as the instructor is no longer teaching the classes.
- Youth Development Programs:
- Summer Day Camps’ average daily attendance in July for the Voyager
Camp (ages 5-8) was 65, for the Explorer Camp (ages 9-11) was 61, and for the Teen Camp (ages 12-14) it was 31 children. This was a slight decrease from July 2018 but still within the division’s goal range.
- The Kids Carnival did not run this summer in order to direct District
