Holmes Run Trunk Sewer Cleaning and Inspection Project • Objective • To remove accumulated debris and sediment • To conduct a video inspection (CCTV) to identify areas requiring subsequent rehabilitation

Why is this project necessary? • Preventive Maintenance • Keeps interceptor sewers in proper working condition • Reduces likelihood of flooding and pollution • Should be conducted every 5-7 years • Condition Assessment • Helps AlexRenew identify defects and make decisions about the need for rehabilitation, segment replacement, or further inspections

How will the work be performed? • Cleaning includes: • Light cleaning (Water Jetter) • Debris removal (Vacuum Truck) • Access achieved from roadside, where possible • Otherwise, equipment will be situated along Holmes Run Trail

How will the work be performed? • Inspection • With a color CCTV camera and light mounted on tracks, an inspection device will be inserted into the interceptor sewer to inspect the pipe

How will the work be performed? • Limited access areas: • Equipment will be situated along Holmes Run Trail • Cleaning • track mounted reel with extended hose • Inspection • track mounted CCTV vehicle that can traverse different types of terrain

What will this mean for our community? • Some Noise and Traffic • You may see and hear vacuum trucks from Video Pipe Services using high pressure water jets • However… • Work will not occur in the same location for the duration of the project • Most of the work will be performed during the day, except in areas where conditions necessitate cleaning and inspection at night
