The pMSSM The pMSSM

  • pMSSM: phenomenological Minimal Supersymmetric Model
  • Due to some constraints “just” 19 free parameters, compared

with the more than 100 of the unconstrained MSSM.

  • [For completeness:]
  • Constraints:
  • R-parity is conserved (→ LSP, Neutralino or Gravitino, is stable).
  • No new CP-violation source (all phases of soft-SUSY breaking

potential are zero, just CKM-matrix leads to CP-violation).

  • No flavour changing neutral currents.
  • First and second generation sleptons and squarks with same

quantum- numbers taken to be degenerate → have negligible Yukawa couplings.

What is needed? What is needed?

  • My set of programs:

– SUSPECT2: to generate the pMSSM mass-spectrum – SUSY-HIT: to include the branching ratios – SuperIso: to validate the created models – Herwig++(/Pythia): MC-simulation of pp-collision – Delphes: MC-simulation of the ATLAS detector – [HepMC: package for eventrecording] – [ThePeg: toolkit for event generation]

Procedure Procedure

  • Schematic for one model:

Suspect2: Creates mass spectrum in pMSSM-model.slha Herwig++(/Pythia): Does a MC-simulation out of the pMSSM-model.slha file and creates a *.hepmc file with all the decay-products. SuperIso: Checks upon few different observables if the pMSSM-model.slha is valid or not. SUSY-HIT: Includes BR's and matrix-elements into pMSSM-model.slha Delphes: Simulates the ATLAS-detector and creates a *.root file out

  • f the *.hepmc file.

Feed in the 19 parameters

  • f the pMSSM.

To do:

  • Write Python codes to:
  • create arbitrary much models and check them on

validity due to the Higgs mass (Suspect2 and SUSY-Hit)

  • check validity due to other parameters (SuperIso)
  • ceate a hepmc-file for each valid pMSSM model

(Herwig++/Pythia) to feed it to Delphes to create root files. [- Write a CINT code for some analysis.]

Outlook Outlook

  • Search&implementation of the most recent constraints
  • Simulation of “few 1000” events for each of the “few

1000” valid pMSSM-models with pp collisions of 13 TeV

  • Analysis
