The ELECTRIC REVOLUTION HAS BEGUN…
MEAN GREEN MOWERS offers a full line of Commercial electric mowers with All-Day run times!
The Electric Advantage
- Low Noise
- Zero Emissions
- Zero Gas
- Low Maintenance
Low Noise
Mean Green Mowers offer all day mowing with extreme power and stealthy operation. With available horsepower exceeding most commercial gas mowers in their classes and maximum torque from the start, Mean Green Mowers prove that cordless electric mowers can be powerful and extremely quiet. The loudest our mowers will get is 82 db, where gas mowers are 95-100 db. For every 6db difference in sound, noise doubles. So, our 82 db mower is less than half the noise of a 88 db mower.

Zero Emissions
*According to an EPA study, one 3hp lawn mower emits the same air pollution as 11 cars driving at 55 mph. Each additional HP is calculated with a linear use equation.
- **Each 1 HP from a lawn mower = 3.67 CARS AT 55 MPH EMISSIONS**
- COMMERCIAL ZTR GAS MOWER
- 24 HP COMMERCIAL ZTR MOWER = 88 CARS AT 55 MPH EMISSIONS (=
4,840 car miles each hour)
- 24 HP ZTR MOWER @ 3.5 HRS (NATIONAL AVERAGE/DAY) = 308 CARS AT
55 MPH/DAY = 16,940 MILES CAR EMISSIONS/DAY
- 24 HP ZTR USED 350 HOURS/YEAR = 1,694,000 CAR MILES OF
EMISSIONS/YEAR
- 1,694,000/12,000 MILES (AVERAGE ANNUAL CAR MILES) = 141 CAR
EMISSIONS PER YEAR FOR EACH COMMERCIAL ZTR MOWER
Here’s the 4*1*1 = “1 COMMERCIAL ZTR GAS MOWER POLLUTES MORE IN 1 DAY
THAN 1 CAR POLLUTES IN 1 YEAR!”
Zero Gas
Mean Green provides powerful electric replacements for gas engine products that run at close to 90% efficiency and
- nly cost about 5% of what you would
pay to operate and maintain their gas engine rival. This means you can save anywhere from $5.50 - $8.00 per hour while mowing with one of our extremely efficient zero-turn battery powered mowers.
Low Maintenance
Routine maintenance is one of the most important, time consuming, and most expensive tasks that every gas mower owner is plagued with time and time again throughout the service life of the mower. With Mean Green Mowers, there is very little routine maintenance. There is no internal combustion engine, so no spark plugs to clean/change, no carb/injectors to rebuild, no engine oil or filters to change, no hydraulics, no belts, no pulleys, no clutches, no air filters... In fact, there are no oils or liquids to leak or spill at all on Mean Green Mowers. The only "routine" maintenance is sharpening the blades and possibly greasing the two front wheel grease fittings every 50-100 hours!

Comparing Commercial Electric Mowers
5 important factors when comparing commercial electric mowers
- 1. Power
- 2. Battery Capacity (run time)
- 3. Efficiency
- 4. Value (ROI)
- 5. Safety (standards compliance)
% $
Power
Different Voltages can deliver the same POWER! Remember, Voltage is only ½ the POWER EQUATION!
Power
Power: The rate at which work is done. Expressed in Watts (W) or Kilo-Watts (KW=1,000W). Determined by Voltage x Current. P=IV: To determine the continuous power (P) of a device, simply multiply the battery voltage (V) x continuous Current (I or Amps). 1 KW 1 KW 72V 13.9A 48V 20.9A (72V x 13.9A = 1KW) = EQUALS = (48V x 20.9A = 1KW)
Different Voltages can deliver the same POWER! Remember, Voltage is only ½ the POWER EQUATION!
Power
- LOWER VOLTAGE advantage: Much less risk of electrical
shocks below 55VDC and follows Industrial Equipment standards.
- HIGHER VOLTAGE advantage: Uses slightly smaller diameter
cable (saves about 2 lb per mower). Marketing departments like the higher numbers.
- Efficiency at either voltage is the same since electric motors
are built (wound) for their specific voltage.
Different Voltages can deliver the same POWER! Remember, Voltage is only ½ the POWER EQUATION!
Battery Capacity (run time)
The ability to Contain Power. Expressed in Watt hours (Wh). Higher Capacity equates to Longer Run Time of a given device. Wh=V(AH): To determine the watt hours (Capacity) of a battery, simply multiply the battery Voltage (V) x Ampre Hour (AH) capacity
- f the battery (as provided by battery
manufacturer). (72V x 97ah = 7KWh) = EQUALS = (48V x 145ah = 7KWh) 7 KWh 7 KWh 72V 97ah 48V 145ah
Battery Chemistry
Two common types of Lithium-Ion batteries are LiFePo4 and Li-
- NCM. LiFePo4 is a legacy chemistry with more weight and size per
Watt-hour than modern Li-NCM chemistries that are used in all new electric vehicles (Tesla, Nissan, GM, etc). LiFePo4 can obtain slightly higher usable cycle life (complete charge /discharge cycle) compared to Li-NCM, but that advantage is typically not an important factor for most vehicle service life.
Battery Charge Time
Charging the battery too quickly can reduce the cycle life of a battery. Typically, if the charge current is ½ (.5C) or less of your battery capacity (Wh capacity), there are no bad
- effects. Mean Green Mowers use chargers with far less
charge current to allow for more mower batteries to be charged from the same electrical grid service at one time.
Efficiency
% The amount of WORK that can be accomplished with a certain amount of POWER. Efficiency is a measure of how much work or energy is conserved in a process. Efficiency of all motors and overall vehicle (mower) must be considered. Most electric motors used on comparable electric mowers have very high efficiency (over 90%). The main difference between comparable electric mowers is the power it takes to move on a soft (grass) surface. The heavier the mower, the more power it takes to move it.
500W of power to move 750W of power to move
% %
A heavier mower will require more power to move it which will greatly reduce EFFICIENCY of the machine! HEAVIER MOWER MEANS LESS RUN TIME!
Value $$$
The monetary worth of an asset. Can be obtained by calculating the Return On Investment (ROI). ROI of electric ride on mowers compared to gas ride on mowers: Commercial 60” Gas mower initial cost: $12,000 MEAN GREEN Contractor 14 KWh 60” electric mower initial cost: $19,500. $7,500 additional cost over gas mower. $8.25 savings (more efficient/lighter) each hour compared to gas mower = 910 hours to ROI (less than 1/3 service life of typical mower).
Safety
- ANSI (American National Standards Institute) B71.1-2012. General Safety of all components of typical commercial
ride on mowers. Most gas mowers comply. Mean Green Mowers comply.
- CE (European Declaration of Conformity) Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. More stringent than ANSI B71.1-2012.
All European gas mowers MUST comply. Electric mowers must additionally pass Electromagnetic Compatibility, Noise emissions, and ROHS material compliance. Mean Green Mowers has CE certificate.
- HAV/WBV (European Hand and Arm Vibration/Whole Body Vibration) ISO 5349 and ISO 2631-1. Restricts excessive
vibration on operator. All European gas mowers MUST comply. Mean Green Mowers has passed and received certificate.
- Battery Safety: Any chemistry of Lithium battery (LiFepo4, Li-NCM, etc) must prove battery cell and pack safety by
complying with UN38.3 (United Nations standard for battery transport safety). Tests include battery and cell High Altitude testing, Thermal testing (-40F to +167F), Vibration, drop test (shock), External short circuit, cell piercing (Impact), Overcharge, and Forced Discharge testing. Mean Green Mowers has passed and received certificate.
- UL and Other standards: Many individual testing companies have their own standards that contribute to the
above standards. For example, NEC (National Electric Code) has many standards that are within UL, CE and ANSI
- standards. UL (Underwriting Laboratories) has standards for wire size, current flow, switching, and material
- composition. UL states it is similar to the CE marking organization for European standards. Sample UL standards
include: UL 44 (insulated wires), UL 62 (flex cords and cables), UL 94 (plastic flame test), UL 248-1 (Low volt fuses), UL 486E (wiring terminals), UL 1447 (electric mower corded and battery), UL 4248-1 (fuse holders), and UL 60730-2-9 (temperature sensing controls) to name a few. Mean Green Mowers comply.

Charging Information
The LEMC3548 charger plugged into 120VAC will charge at 25amp 48v which actually uses about 12 amps of 120VAC power (1500 watts). If you plug this charger into 240VAC it will increase input to 35amps 48v. Which is about 9 amps at 240V (2100 watts). Charge your CXR Mean Green Mower overnight in about 12 hours on 240VAC power. A great option is to set your trailer up for charging. Click the picture to view an overview video.
