How soon and how long will I actually teach?

  • Typically, you observe for approx. one week or

maybe just a bit longer.

  • Usually begin teaching one or two subjects by 2nd
  • week. By 3rd week you may begin full-time teaching
  • f all subjects or class periods. Maybe sooner!
  • Teach as much and for as long as your CT will let
  • you. You need the experience!
  • “Team Teaching”- Occasionally, CT’s may be

requiring you to work as a “team” rather than completely turning over their classroom to the student

  • teacher. It’s O.K.  (Mostly during Spring term.)
