Royal Palaces Protection & Marine Security – Middle East Westminster International has secured a multi million GBP contract for the supply of an integrated security solution to a number of high profile sites in the Middle East The contract involves the protection of a number of high profile sites within the Middle East and was secured following a lengthy tender process including stringent operational assessment trials. Under the contract, Westminster will be providing advanced detection and surveillance equipment including specialist radar, sonar and thermal imaging surveillance equipment all networked to an advanced multi site, integrated central Control & Command system covering the country. Covert Surveillance Vehicles - Africa Longmoor Security has secured a multi million USD contract for the supply of mobile surveillance systems to a national security service. The contract was for the supply of covert mobile scanning vehicles which enable security services to covertly scan vehicles, containers and people for hidden contraband, explosives and narcotics etc. The units are extremely versatile and can be used for border security, urban policing, presidential and VIP escort security as well as rapid deployment security for functions and major events. Complete Airport Security Operations - Freetown International Airport - Sierra Leone Westminster were awarded a contract by the Sierra Leone Airports Authority to provide the complete airport security services at Freetown International Airport (FNA) for the next 15 years. Rapid Deployment Scanning Portals - Iraq Westminster secured a contract to supply its ThruPORT self contained scanning solution to airports in
- Iraq. The unit was designed and built by Westminster within a specialised ISO shipping container which is
rapidly deployable and can be shipped throughout the world. Westminster developed the ThruPORT concept in response to a market need for a system which could provide a secure environment for thorough and effective scanning of both people and baggage entering vulnerable or high security sites, such as airports, embassies, military compounds and government buildings. Prison Security – United Kingdom Westminster Group has entered into a four year framework contract with the UK Ministry of Justice to provide security services for all 139 UK Prisons. Westminster chief executive Peter Fowler said the prestigious long term contract represents a valuable endorsement of its standing in the security industry. Westminster holds exclusive distribution and supply agreements for key security equipment. Specifically to the UK prison service, Westminster's range of security systems can enable the efficient and effective movement of inmates in secure areas, through the control of entry and exit points.
