What is the goal of this study?

To determine the feasibility of expanding our existing research park into a mixed-use research district or neighborhood.

Why should you care?

If a Research Neighborhood is created, it will have several benefits to this community including:

  • Diverse job creation (potential for >4000 jobs)
  • New housing opportunities
  • Community spaces
  • Additional retail establishments
  • Improved transportation infrastructure

Our study team will be working with the WCA to communicate, gain input, and collaborate with the westside communities throughout the study process.

“Tech Square is a testament to what is possible when higher education, government, business, and the community work together. In just 10 years, it has become the place to be for high tech innovators and entrepreneurs in the Southeast.”
