The purpose of MRTDL is a collective effort tasked to bring together the expertise and resources of industry, education, government, and local communities to close the gap between business’ need for highly skilled workers and workers’ need for high wage, high skilled and sustainable jobs. The vision of MRTDL is to fundamentally transform TDL education within the consortium in order to better meet the needs of employers and TAA-eligible workers, and in the process to develop a replicable model for consortium-based initiatives to address those needs. And ultimately, to drive the economic advancement of the Mississippi region and the nation as a whole.

• The National Great Rivers Research and Education Center is a

partnership of Lewis and Clark Community College and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
