International coordination and state responsibility are critical
IATA guidance based on advice received from authorities/experts i.e. the WHO
IATA regional and local offices are monitoring developments on a real-time basis
The Timatic team is validating that information received are enforced at airports
New travel requirements (e.g. restrictions) are then reflected in TIMATIC

Example - BAHRAIN, 19 August 2014
Nationals of Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone are refused entry, even if holding a valid visa or residence permit issued by Bahrain. Transit through Bahrain (BAH) for up to 8 hours is possible. However, it is not possible to obtain the 24 hour transit visa nor the 24 hour Causeway Transit Visa on arrival.
Example - SINGAPORE, 05 November 2014
Nationals of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone require a visa, applied for prior to departure for Singapore. Visitors arriving from or who have recently visited the above mentioned countries are subject to screening and health
assessment.
The Timatic team continues to monitor the situation:
Restrictions in some countries have been totally lifted such as in Guyana Others are being gradually relaxed, such as in Mauritius and USA Full restrictions remain in place in other countries such as in Australia
