Health Insurance

  • All international students required to maintain health

insurance while enrolled at Texas A&M University

  • Dependents of students on J1 visas are required to

maintain health insurance

  • Students are automatically enrolled in and billed for the

TAMU System approved student health insurance plan unless they apply for and are granted a waiver.

  • Waivers granted only for employer-provided group

coverage or sponsor-required coverage if it meets the requirements.

  • Students can email questions about health insurance to

healthinsurance@tamu.edu.
