English Learners Advisory Council (ELAC)

ELAC advises the Principal and Site Council on the effectiveness

and needs of M-A’s program for its 400+ English Learners (ELs). About 120 M-A students take English Language Development classes & about 300 are long-term English Learners. ELAC parent members are a core group within M-A’s comprehensive series of Parent Events and Trainings on High School Effectiveness and Preparation for College.

Success!

★ M-A High School Athletics has been successful winning the Commissioners Cup 11 straight times! ★ In 2018, our football team won its first ever Div 3 State Championship! ★ Numerous other PAL Team, as well as individual Conference Championships!

★ M-A Sports Boosters is made up of 16 parents, community members, businesses and alumni. ★ We raise approximately $225K each and every year, to fill the gap required to be successful.

  • questions. Become a partner learner.
  • Encourage your student to reach out to teachers and attend office hours
