• Given to 5th, 8th, 9th and 11th grade students statewide
• In 2010, 6th, 9th and 12th grade students were surveyed
• 84% of Minnesota public schools participated
• More than 160,000 students statewide took the survey
• 285 Minnewaska students participated with 2% of

surveys taken out because of inconsistencies

11th grade girls think 51% of their peers use marijuana daily. 3% of 11th grade girls use marijuana daily 8th grade girls think 78% of their peers have at least tried marijuana 0% of 8th grade girls reported ever using marijuana

• Most parents who were surveyed think

that 40-60% of parents allow youth under the age of 21 to drink alcohol in their home.

• But when asked if they think it’s ok for

parents to allow their child under the age of 21 to drink at their own home, 96% said no!
