Clayton Bailey (b. 1939) is one
influential sculptors in clay leading the artistic movement called Funk.
He is part inventor and part mad scientist, creating works that are filled with humor and imagination.
His most notable work is his World of Wonders Museum (1975-1998), a full- scale theatrical installation of ceramic oddities and scrap metal robots.
You can see his work displayed in the part-museum, part-roadside attraction Bailey Art Museum in Crockett, CA.
