Improvements to South Lake Bradford Road from Orange Avenue to Capital Circle are intended to maintain the rural character of the existing corridor and Lake Bradford water

• quality. Improvements will include the following:
• Work within existing right of way to resurface existing two lane road and construct a new

shared-use trail on one side (side to be determined).

• Landscaping consistent with rural corridor.
• Roundabouts and/or other traffjc calming strategies such as narrowing lane width to 11

feet to slow traffjc (to be determined by traffjc safety analysis, two to four traffjc-calming roundabouts included in concept).

Enhancements to Orange Avenue will focus on improving safety and aesthetics by constructing new multimodal facilities and landscaping. Orange Avenue is a state roadway, and as such, fjnal determination of adding roundabouts and/or expanding to four-lanes will be made in coordination with the Florida Department of Transportation. State funding will be leveraged to the greatest extent possible. The proposed concept includes the following improvements:

This segment will increase access to Innovation Park and improve visibility of parcels controlled by FAMU, FSU, and the Leon County Research and Development Authority. This new roadway will alleviate traffjc through the Callen neighborhood and divert traffjc in the Providence Neighborhood from Levy Avenue to Stuckey Avenue. The roadway will be jointly funded by Blueprint and FSU and constructed on FSU property. The roadway will be a public facility for community use and will include the following improvements:

• Multimodal facilities, including on-road bicycle lanes, transit shelters, and pedestrian facilities, including a

multi-use trail on one side of the roadway.

• Pottsdamer Street to Orange Avenue (C1): New two-lane road with median.
• Stuckey Avenue to Pottsdamer Street (C2): New two-lane road with median, expandable to four lanes.
• FSU will maintain sidewalks, trails, and landscaping outside the curb; City of Tallahassee will maintain

roadway.

The gateway style of improvements along Lake Bradford Road will complement nearby Gaines Street and support further redevelopment by creating a safer, aesthetically pleasing pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular corridor. Improvements will be designed to mitigate impacts on the Callen and Providence Neighborhoods, which may include sound and traffjc. Improvements will be made within the existing right-of-way and include the following:

SEGMENT G, 1.73 MILES

Springhill Road improvements will create the gateway entrance into Downtown Tallahassee from the Airport and will include aesthetic and multimodal safety enhancements. While there is broad acknowledgement that current travel demand does not warrant expanding the roadway to four lanes at this time, there is a benefjt to acquiring the right-of-way needed for a future roadway expansion as part of the current project. To that end, the concept includes the right-of-way acquisition along Springhill Road to accommodate future widening. Improvements will include the following:
