Sani Resort is a family-owned ecological reserve stretching across 1,000 acres, with endless golden beaches framed by the crystal clear waters of the Aegean and the magnificent pine forests of Chalkidiki. Sani Resort is situated on the magnificent Kassandra peninsula, the first of the three beach- fringed peninsulas of Chalkidiki. Sani overlooks Mount Olympus and is close to the glorious but unspoiled beaches of the Sithonia peninsula. Chalkidiki is part of Central Macedonia in the Northern part of the country and a very popular summer destination. The region has the perfect combination of that distinctive Greek light, unspoiled landscapes, colours and fragrances. The glorious natural setting is complemented by the rich culinary fare of the region and the living religious traditions of its people, manifested in a host of feast days and other ceremonies and rituals. It is formed of three peninsulas or "feet", each with its own unique charm, history and magic. There is Kassandra, or Pallini, scene of the Battle of the Giants in ancient mythology Sithonia, a magical place of green forest and blue sea and Mt. Athos, the world's only monastic state, home to twenty historic monasteries. The Sani resort is also within easy reach of Thessaloniki, Greece’s second largest city and the capital of Macedonia (also voted “Best Mid-Sized European city for human capital and lifestyle” by Financial Times in 2014). Thessaloniki is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and a vibrant cultural center with theatres, clubs, contemporary art museums, galleries, designer shops and a bustling café culture. The sun is up all year round and even the winters are mild. The airport is within three hours flight from almost all European cities and is connected to Thessaloniki center and Chalkidiki region by bus transport.
