Sacrifices in the OT

Heb 10:4-7 (NLT)

It is not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. That is why, when Christ came into the world, he said to God: "You did not want animal sacrifice or sin

  • fferings. But you have given me a body to offer. You were

not pleased with burnt offerings or other offerings for sin. Then I said, 'Look, I have come to do your will, O God' as it is written about me in the scriptures

Sacrifices in the OT

Heb 10:11-12 (NIV)

Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when this priest [i.e. Jesus] had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.
