2010 CLEAN STREAMS PARTNER

To Tom H Henry has been a journalist for 29 years and created The Blade's environment beat when he was hired in 1993. He has written about mass murderers, businessmen, some of the nation's top politicians and a bevy of rock 'n' roll stars. He is particularly proud of writing one of the longest, most comprehensive and obsessive articles about the history of pinball ever to appear in a newspaper, not to mention his 1984 first-person story as a hot dog vendor at Detroit's Tiger Stadium. He began writing a column about the environment for The Blade's Sunday paper in 2007, in addition to his ongoing coverage of that subject His first major series at The Blade was about addition to his ongoing coverage of that subject. His first major series at The Blade was about the longstanding abuse of Toledo area waterways. Tom has spoken at national conferences and at major universities about the Great Lakes and energy issues, his two favorite environmental topics. In 2008, he spent 10 days in Greenland researching a four-day series on climate change that was recognized by the researching a four-day series on climate change that was recognized by the Yale Forum on Climate Change & The Media, the Knight Science Journalism Tracker, and Columbia Journalism Review. ELECTION OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Eligibility Eligibility Members of the Board of Directors must be voting members of Partners for Clean

  • Streams. Voting members are defined as individuals donating at least $50/yr to

PCS or businesses/municipalities donating at least $500/yr to PCS. Responsib esponsibility ty Responsibilities of the PCS Board of Directors are as follows, but not limited to: Service of a two year term; Participation in Board meetings every other month, or as called by the President; Maintenance of a voting member status; Assisting the called by the President; Maintenance of a voting member status; Assisting the Executive Director in fundraising and program development and implementation; Promote the organization and its efforts; and make overall financial and organization decisions for PCS.
