The company is based in Montevarchi (AR). Beginning as Individual enterprise, then general partnership (since 1946) and finally Limited Company (since 1986), it has worked consistently in the field of railway superstructure works in the construction industry and the construction and maintenance of:

• sub-station
• buildings of the station
• Railway

It has created, maintained and updated important technological investments meeting the highest standards of quality required by the Clients operating in railway infrastructure. In particular, in the last thirty years, the company expanded its production capacity for the work of Maintenance Systematics Armaments also performing in accordance with General Contractors guidelines construction works of railway lines for AV (High Speed Track). It has also consolidated its structure for the execution of civil works on operating lines and railway stations. Gaining experience, the Company has achieved significant importance such as in the of 'National Register of Builders and subsequent corresponding certifications (SOA Categories OG1, OG3 and OS29).

Since January 2002 it obtained the registration in the Qualification System Company for interventions to 'Armament Rail (SQ004) for category LAR 001 "Maintenance railway superstructure" and the category LAR003 "interventions of construction of armament rail " and in 2009 Qualification System Companies for 'Execution of works of civil works of lines in service (SQ11), set up by RFI SpA pursuant to Art. 232 of Legislative Decree no. 163/2006. The Company works with Management Systems certified to ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 14001: 2004. The Company is also equipped with a Code of Ethics and Organizational Model in accordance with the D.Lgs.231 / 01, as amended.

Scala Virgilio & Figli S.p.A. has been carrying out activities in the Railway for 3 generations and over time it has consolidated its image of professionalism and reliability. Since its foundation it has followed the growth of technological systems related to the realization of the work of arming and later equipping of the first self-propelled machines

Grosseto and on the lines of confluence related to new plants ACC station;

• Construction of civil works and infrastructure upgrades, such as:

Railway underpasses (road and pedestrian), Construction of new station platforms Modification of existing platforms for the new corridor AV / AC within the accommodation PRG station for stages of activation;

• Maintenance work to the civil works of the Italian Railway Network SpA ; Particularly:
• routine maintenance to the roadway and construction of retaining walls of the slopes on

the seat rail and out of the ordinary maintenance works to the seat rail and complementary accessories for renewal of the lines.
