Our province is currently in Phase 2 of the B.C. Restart Plan. In alignment with this, PHSA is actively planning for:

As part of the WorkSafeBC guidelines, PHSA is employing four key steps to reduce risk in our workplaces. During Phase 2 of B.C.’s Restart Plan, we will take a coordinated approach and focus first on bringing back employees for whom it is essential to return to the workplace.

As recommended by WorkSafeBC, we are creating general staff policies including not coming to work when sick, what to do if you get sick while at work, visitors in the workplace, travel restrictions, and many others Programs and sites will create specific policies relevant to those operations We are creating resources to support staff on returning to the workplace, including
staff and leaders on how to work effectively from home, working safely in the office, and working on hybrid teams We are building out the staff resources section on phsa.ca to house relevant resources We will continue to monitor and assess worksites to continually improve safety as we learn from our experiences.
