Reading

  • Please sign your child’s Reading Records regularly but

at least every time your child has read to you (minimum 5 x weekly).

  • Every morning, we will check Reading Records for

reading and parent/carer signatures and record whether or not your child has read at home.

  • Please ensure that your child reads for a minimum of

five nights (10 minutes per night).

  • Please encourage your child to practice learning the

key words from their text and ask them relevant questions about the books that they are reading.

  • Spellings – tested every Thursday and new spellings

to be given out on Fridays.
